Freetown — The ministry of finance and economic development has revealed that Sierra Leone will receive the first tranche of a three-year $45 million International Monetary Fund (IMF) loan in July to boost the nation's economy.
According to statement from the finance ministry, the loan - granted under the IMF extended credit facility to countries with long term economic challenges - will take effect as from July 1, 2010 and will enable the first disbursement of $6.5 million.
