Nigeria: Health Week - 582,564 Children for Vaccination, in Ebonyi

Abakaliki — A total of 97, 094 children in Ebonyi State under the age of one year will receive vaccination against child killer deceases including measles, polio, whooping cough and convulsion during the 1st round of 2010 safe motherhood/maternal, Newborn and Child Health week (MNCHW) in 13 local government areas of the state.

The representative of the United Nations Children's Emergency Fund, UNICEF, 'A' field office in Enugu, John Sally who stated this during the flag off ceremony at Ebiaji, Ezza North council area of Ebonyi state, weekend, said 485,470 under the age of five years would also receive Vitamin 'A' supplement and other child intervention strategies during the week.
