Somalia: Somali MPs Held Meeting in Mogadishu

Mogadishu — The transitional parliamentarians of Somalia have Monday held another meeting at Golaha Sha'biga building, the newly repaired centre of the transitional lawmakers in Mogadishu discussing more on the matters relating to the law of the parliament.

Two people died and 7 others wounded in parts of Hodan and Hawl-wadag districts in the capital as mortars shells targeted to the centre of the parliament yesterday which caused the security forces of AMISOM and the government troops responded with shelling.

Mohamed Ahmed Nor, one of the transitional legislators attending the meeting told reporters before the meeting that their plan was to continue discussing rules and regulations of the parliamentarians to redouble the efforts to continue the work of the MPs.

Shabelle's reporter who attended at the meeting said that the lawmakers issued more articles on the law of the parliament.

Mr. Mohamed called for the law makers to continue their meeting constantly to continue the work of the parliament and the statement of the lawmakers comes as the newly speaker of the parliament Sharif Hassan. Sheik Aden suggested that the MPs to solve local disagreement between the legislators and continue their consultative meetings.
