Gambia: National Assembly Ratifies Two International Agreements

Deputies at the National Assembly last Thursday ratified two international agreements between the Republic of The Gambia and the Republic of Brazil which were signed in 2005 in Brazil.

The agreements include; basic agreement on Technical Cooperation and the formation of a Joint Commission between The Gambia and Brazil.These agreements seek to strengthen the existing friendly ties between the two countries and a mutual interest in fostering the socio-economic development of both countries, The agreements would also explore areas of technical cooperation in the mutual interest of both countries.Edward Gomez, the Attorney General and minister of Justice tabled the motion before the house on behalf of the minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad, Dr. Momodou Tangara.
