Somalia: Ahlu Sunna Calls International Community to Intervene Talks

Mogadishu — The Islamic clerics of Ahlu Sunna Waljama'a have called for the international community to intervene the talks between the transitional government of Somalia and Ahlu Sunn, officials said on Wednesday.

There had been dispute and accusations form the Islamist clerics of Ahlu Sunna Waljama'a on the deal between the two sides that was signed in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and Mogadishu and more of the clerics said that the agreement between the two sides had totally failed.

Sheik Mohamed Yusuf Hefow, head of Islamic administration Ahlu Sunna Waljama'a called for the international community to intervene the disagreement and misunderstand between the two sides to solve the differences between the Somali government and Ahlu Sunna clerics to reach solution.

The Somali Prime Minster Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharma'arke had recently appointed new ministers and reshuffled his cabinet recently which caused Ahlu Sunna Waljama'a clerics to oppose and denounce the form of peace process and deal between the two sides.

Ahlu Sunna Waljama' has a military bases in parts of Mogadishu and fighting against the Harakat Al-shabab and Hizbul Islam an it is unclear what reaction would the international community pay on the call from Ahlu Sunn Waljama'a.
