Kampala — Benjamin Kiplagat rewrote his national 3000m steeplechase record after clocking 8 minutes 3.81 seconds at the Lausanne Samsung Diamond League in Switzerland on Friday.
The time was 9 seconds better than the previous best of 8:12.98 that he set at another international meeting in the Czech Republic on June 17.
