Kigali — More than 30 people are reported dead in separate bomb explosions that took place in Kampala, Sunday night.

One of the explosion targeted the Kyadondo Rugby Club where the final game of the 2010 World Cup was being screened.

According to sources, the blasts occurred shortly 10.00pm (11.00p.m. Ugandan time). Blood, broken chairs, clothes and shoes were seen everywhere on the ground while security soldiers and rescuers were evacuating and saving the wounded at the World Cup screening.

Other blasts were reported, in Kabalagala and Ntinda, both Kampala suburbs that are host to popular hang-out spots.

Kampala has previously experienced similar attacks. In 1997 and 1998, High end hotels and restaurants were targets of a spate of tragic grenade attacks, igniting a fear of urban terrorism among Kampala residents.
