President Hifikepunye Pohamba congratulated 2010 World Cup hosts South Africa for staging a successful tournament.
Pohamba described the first ever football World Cup hosted in Africa as "resoundingly successful" in a message to his South African counterpart, Jacob Zuma. Spain made history by defeating the Netherlands by a solitary goal in the final and officially bringing the international football spectacle to an end on Sunday.
