Luanda — The Angolan secretary of State for Cooperation, Exalgina Gambôa, Thursday in Luanda, reaffirmed the country's commitment to supporting Western Sahara people so that they attain their self-determination.
Exalgina Gambôa, who was speaking at the end of a meeting between delegations of both countries, added that Angola is ready to support Western Sahara Government so that the various resolutions, among them those of the United Nations, are fulfilled.
"We see that after many years they (resolutions) are not being applied, to a great disadvantage to the Sahrawi people", she said.
The Government official said that a Memorandum of Understanding is being prepared to be signed for Political Consultations between both Foreign Affairs ministries and, probably, to help in an international agenda of support and solidarity.
In his turn, the minister of Cooperation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Baba Salec, said that the meeting served to study ways of cooperation, friendship and solidarity between both peoples.
