Nigeria: Representative Escapes Kidnap

Umuahia — The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Abia State and a member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Stanley Ohajuruka, narrowly escaped being kidnapped by hoodlums.

Briefing pressmen over the incident, personal assisted to Ohajuruka, Mr. Chris Oguoma, said the legislator was outside the state when the hoodlums, numbering over 200 and in a convoy of 10 buses, stormed Felina Hotel, Umuahia where the governorship aspirant intended to address his supporters.
