Uganda: Citadel's ASEC Inks Deal to Manage Sudan Cement Plant

ASEC holding, a Citadel Capital platform, has signed a three-year contract to provide technical management services for Alsalam, a cement production company in Sudan.

Mr Mohamed Galal Yakout, the ASEC CEO, said in a statement last week that the Shs290 billion deal will involve the building of a cement plant, which will be completed in two years.

The plant is projected to have a production capacity of 1.5 million tonnes per annum providing materials for civil, electrical and mechanical work. Steel fabrication, testing and commissioning of other building materials will also be carried out.
