By now you already know that Big Brother Africa Season Five is back and running. Dubbed All Stars, the fans are really in for a roller coaster ride. As Multichoice had promised, 14 members from the previous seasons are in the house battling for $200,000. According to Multichoice, those who appealed most to the public, the most interesting and most controversial were chosen.
And if that was the criteria, no wonder Uganda is represented by Hannington Kuteesa, one of last year's representatives, who viewers loved to hate. Malawi's radio deejay Code, made the party and the Angolan contestant Tatiana, who infamously had sex with a married man in the house in 2007, is there too.
South Africa's Lerato from season 2 is also in, as is the loud 24-year-old Meryl from Namibia. Botswana has sent Kaone back with his sewing kit. Zimbabwe's Munya made quite an impression in season 3 and an older Mwisho from Tanzania (BBA season 1) bounces back.
Many viewers possibly passed out when the hated Zambian Paloma wiggled her big backside into the house. But her comeback was not as shocking as that of the lazy Ethiopian Yacob, who loves to sit back and simply smoke.
In life, everyone craves a second chance, and Big Brother has given it to Mozambique's Jennifer. She is the youngest and is remembered for having voluntarily left the house last year. Kenya's lanky Sheila from season 3 is in the house and her excitement at seeing Nigeria's Uti from her season promises viewers a possible romance.
Ghana's Sammie from season 1 is the oldest contestant at 35.
