Luanda — The Cape Verdean president, Pedro Pires, Wednesday in Luanda, defended bilateral solutions to the Portuguese-speaking citizen status, in order to facilitate the free circulation of people and goods within the Portuguese Speaking Community (CPLP).
Pedro Pires said so to the press at Luanda's "4 de Fevereiro" International Airport, short after arriving in the Angolan capital.
Pedro Pires, who arrived Wednesday evening, will attend on Friday the 8th Summit of CPLP Heads of State and Government.
The Cape Verdean statesman expects to find an interesting environment for solutions of problems of each and every member countries.
Regarding the admission of Equatorial Guinea in CPLP, Pedro Pires said that there is not any inconvenient.
The head of State also expressed satisfaction for coming and seize the opportunity to salute the Angolan people.
The summit, which is to happen on Friday in Luanda under the motto "Solidarity in Diversity", is preceded on Thursday, 22 July, by the meeting of CPLP Council of Ministers.
CPLP groups Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, East Timor, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal and Sao Tome and Principe.
