Nigeria: Thugs Attack Journalists in Edo Rerun Poll

Benin City — The campaign for one-man, one-vote by the Action Congress-led government of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole in Edo State was yesterday marred by violence as thugs loyal to the AC attacked journalists monitoring the progress of the state House of Assembly re-run election into 13 units of ward 7 in Oghede, Ovia North East constituency II of the state.

While the election was marred by violence in some polling units, it went peacefully in other pulling units.
