Dar es Salaam — COAST Region team proved to be a better side after thrashing Dar es Salaam 2-0 during a Tujivinjari sports bonanza held in Mwanza.

The bonanza that was specifically for Tigo agents was meant to get them to know each other and the challenges they face in their day to day activities. Other sports events on the day were tug of war and netball.

Lake Zone won the netball title after beating Dar es Salaam 8-6 in a hotly contested encounter at the CCM-Kirumba stadium.

Tigo Public Relations Manager, Jackson Mbando said the event was also aimed at giving the vendors a chance to cement relationship among them.

Mbando said vendors from Dar es Salaam, Coast and Lake Zone took part in the bonanza. Agents who also faired well in the sim card registration were also awarded.

The company's Head of Sales, Gabriel Gosp said they decided to use sports as an avenue where the vendors could come together and share views in a relaxed mood.

Winners were awarded various prizes ranging from trophies, cash and airtime.
