Gambia: Brikamaba, Janjangbureh Communities Embark on Cleaning Exercise

Janjangbureh — Over 500 people from the communities of Brikamaba and Janjangbureh recently embarked on a massive cleaning exercise in Brikamaba and surrounding areas in CRR.

Speaking to this reporter shortly after the exercise, the chairperson of Janjangbureh Area Council, Alhaji Kekuta Ceesay, explained that it is part of the clarion call of President Jammeh. He urged people to take operation clean the nation seriously as a healthy population is the bedrock of any meaningful socio-economic development. For his part, Fafanding Kinteh, the NEA regional programme officer in CRR, spoke on the need to keep the environment clean.
