South Africa: Cops Hone in on Illegal Liquor Sales

Police are expected to pounce on shops across Cape Town that are invoking provisions of the new provincial Liquor Act that have not yet been promulgated, to facilitate the illegal sale of alcohol.

Finance, Economic Development and Tourism MEC Alan Winde has criticised the shops, which have not been named, for contravening provincial liquor legislation.
