Uganda/Zambia: Zambia Get New Coach Ahead of K'la Friendly

Kampala — Zambia have appointed a new coach, Dario Bonetti, ahead of their international soccer friendly against the Uganda Cranes in Kampala August 11.

Uganda and Zambia are preparing for their first 2012 Nations Cup qualifiers against Angola and Comoros respectively on September 4. Bonetti has assumed the role and he is preparing a team for his first assignment. The former Juventus defender succeeded Herve Renard who moved to manage the Angolan national team last April.

Zambia football governing body FAZ president Kalusha Bwalya said the Italian has signed a two-year deal.

"We think we have found the right man. We wanted experience at the highest level as well as youthful enthusiasm," Bwalya said at the unveiling of the tactician last week. FUFA invited the Chipolopolo for the friendly.
