Chimoio — Mozambican President Armando Guebuza said on Wednesday that one of the current challenges facing the country is to promote the growth of its cultural industries.
Speaking at the central city of Chimoio, at the opening of the Sixth National Festival of Culture, Guebuza declared "We must continue improving the association of economic activity with art and culture, so that greater benefits are derived, with an impact on the well being of our creative artists, and an increase in the contribution of art and culture to the Gross Domestic Product".
