Angola: Cape Verdean Leaders Hold Private Talk

Luanda — The presidents of Angola and Cape Verde, José Eduardo dos Santos, and Pedro Pires, respectively, Wednesday, in Luanda, had a private talk.

It is believed that during the courtesy meeting, held in the Presidential Palace, both Statesmen analysed bilateral cooperation and other regional and international issues.

The leader of the West African island nation seized the opportunity of the technical stopover in Luanda since Tuesday, on transit to his country, to meet Angolan authorities, among them his local counterpart, to speak about diverse matters.

Just like José Eduardo dos Santos, Pedro Pires also attended the African Union (AU) Summit, held on Sunday, in Kampala, Uganda.

The relations of cooperation between Angola and Cape Verde are considered as excellent, since both Portuguese-speaking countries have been finding better ways to strengthen them in the various sectors of activity.
