Angola: Luanda to Have Place Suitable for Wake Service

Luanda — The Provincial Government of Luanda (GPL), will soon create a municipal wake place to be built nearby Santa Ana Cemetery, in Kilamba Kiaxi district.

The management and planning director of Luanda government, Angélica Agostinho, told Angop that the purpose of this project is to improve people's service delivery and try to discipline funeral activities.

Angélica Agostinho said that the district wake place will be a modern and contemporary building to be developed into three floors, covering a construction area of 1,673 square metres.

The project of Luanda government is under the Public Investment Programme (PIP) that aims also the construction of three municipal hospitals in Cazenga, Sambizanga and Samba and four health centres in Chimbicato neighbouring (Kilamba Kiaxi district), Barra do Kwanza (Viana district), Benfica and Ramiros (Samba district) and a delivery room in Bita (Viana district).
