Eritrea: Preparations in Full Swing to Colorfully Conduct Festival 2010 At National Level

Asmara — Preparations are in full swing to colorfully conduct Eritrea Festival 2010 at the national level, according to Mr. Gideon Fisehaye, head of the office of the National Holidays Coordinating Committee.

In the course of the festival from July 30 to August 5, various programs, including cultural shows, regional pavilions, arts exhibition, writing contest, folk dances and songs, new songs, dramas, comedies and sports activities, as well as other educational and entertaining programs would be featured.

Mr. Gideon further explained that the Festival would provide a platform for all Eritrean citizens to come together and experience the social, cultural, political and economic activities of the country.

The festival would open on July 30 at Cinema Roma, and that it would officially get underway at the Expo grounds the next day, according to the Holidays Coordinating Committee.

Hundreds of thousands of Eritrean nationals from inside the country and abroad, as well as foreigners are expected to participate in the festival.
