Ghana: Stanbic Builds Capacity of Clients on Trade Issues

Stanbic Bank Ghana as part of its means of building and strengthening the capacity of its clients and customers on international and local trade issues yesterday organized a trade forum for some key staff of the Volta River Authority (VRA).

The forum forms part of plans earmarked by Stanbic Bank's corporate banking department to build the capacity of its key corporate customers.

VRA handles more than 1billion dollars trade issues each year and the seminar was aimed at sharpening the skills of the key frontline officers and executives who handle these procurements locally and internationally.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Senior Relationship Manager of Stanbic Bank, Akwasi Addae said Stanbic Bank was committed to strengthening the capacity of its customers of which VRA is a key partner.

Head of Finance at VRA, Mrs. Alexandra Tatto commended the bank for the initiative saying the programme had come at a time that workers of VRA needed education on some important products and services on the International Market in their daily dealings.
