Rwanda/Gambia: Tuyishimire Magic Stuns Gambia

Kigali — RWANDA recorded their second win at the on-going ICC Africa U19 Division 2 World Cup qualifiers in Swaziland after yesterday's eight-wicket drubbing over Gambia at U-Tech cricket oval.

Rwanda proved that the West Africans were no match for them as they restricted them to a meagre score of 78.

Joseph Tuyishimire was the chief destroyer as his out-swingers gifted him remarkable bowling figures of 6 for 17 in eight overs.

Rwanda's Captain Audifax Byiringiro weighed in with three wickets while Evode Mutuyimana picked the last wicket to take his tally to five.

The team then chased down the target for the loss of only two wickets; Mutuyimana (10) and Byiringiro (18).

At Ubombo Country Club, Nigeria, who thrashed Mozambique by a massive 245-run victory on Wednesday, ended their campaign with a 100 per cent record as they ran over a hapless Swaziland side.

Rwanda can now finish second if they beat Mozambique today. The other day's game pits Gambia with hosts Swaziland.

Rwanda's trip was jointly sponsored by Sonarwa, National Olympics Committee (RNOC) and the Ministry of Sports and Culture (Minispoc).
