Tanzania: Investor to Pump in U.S. $3 Million in Dar Es Salaam Water Park

Dar Es Salaam — KUNDUCHI Water Parks Limited which owns and operates the Largest Water Park in East and Central Africa, the Kunduchi Wet 'n' Wild Water Park in Dar-es-Salaam, has started expansion of the facility.

The project includes addition of new and modern slides and rides, splash pools, children playing area, playground equipment, swimming pools, restaurants, go-kart track and specially designed quad-bikes.

"We decided to expand our waterpark in phases as part of our 10th anniversary celebrations which will involve investment of more than US$3 million. The first phase will be complete within four month," said the Managing Director of the company, Mr Mahmood Ismail.

"We are very proud to state that the water park which started operations in 1999 has become a household name and caters for different age groups, from young to old and from different walks of life," he said. He said the firm has pioneered investment in the largest water park facility in the East and Central African region.

"The company also has plans to invest in similar facilities upcountry like Mwanza and Arusha," he said.
