Luanda — The President of Cape Verde, Pedro Pires, on Thursday here considered as very good his country's relations with Angola and the perspective for the future, having also highlighted the benefits of peace for Angola.
Pedro Pires spoke to the press, after a stop over in Angola (Luanda), following his participation in the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the African Union, held in Uganda.
He mentioned the presence of Angolan firms in Cape Verde, such as the African Development Bank (BAI-Cape Verde), as well as the regular air link between Luanda and Praia City.
"There are important co-operation projects of Angolans in Cape Verde", he said without giving more details and highlighted the coming of Cape Verdean cadres to work in Angola, constituting a relation with a great perspective in the technical area.
The president said that after huge damages that hindered the development of the country in various fields, there is another Angola, with gains in the stabilisation of the country, return of the people to their areas of origin, security and the free flow of people and goods.
Pedro Pires said Angola has credible conditions that become stronger and stronger, guaranteeing the unity and the integrity of the country, opened to other performances.
President Pedro Pires said the economic relations have to take into account the space it is integrated, to combine the desire of reinforcement of the interchange with the reality of the Countries in the same economic space.
