Namibia: Brave Gladiators in Germany for 2010 Women's World Cup

Windhoek — The Namibia national women football team, the Brave Gladiators is currently on a two-week training camp in Germany.

The team will return to the country on Saturday 31 July after playing three international friendlies and watching some matches at the on-going FIFA Under 20 Women's World Cup as guests of the German Football Federation (DFB). The tournament which has now reached the semi finals stages, started on 13 July and ends on Sunday this weekend.

The last-four teams who are hoping to win this year's World Cup are: Nigeria, Africa's first semi-finalist in the history of the tournament that started in 2002, Colombia, Korea Republic, while former champions and hosts Germany, will ensure a European flavour with their home support. The team that is in Germany include the secretary of the Namibian Premier League, Lorraine Gowases and Jacky Gertze team manager .
