Luanda — The Head of State of Cape Verde, Pedro Pires, returned on Thursday to his country after a technical stopover in Luanda.
From Kampala City in Uganda, where he attended the Summit of the African Union (AU) on Sunday, Pedro Pires, who is in Luanda since last Tuesday, seized the chance to meet in private with his Angolan counterpart, José Eduardo dos Santos.
It is presumed that during the courtesy meeting held in Luanda's Presidential Palace, both statesmen might have discussed the bilateral co-operation and other matters of regional and international level.
During his stay in Luanda, Pedro Pires considered the relations with Angola as positive with good perspectives for the future. The Cape Verdean President also highlighted the benefits of peace for the reconstruction process of the country.
