Luanda — African women are increasingly called to take up their role in society, both within the government and family nucleus , said Wednesday here the secretary for Social Affairs of the Presidency, Rosa Pacavira.
Speaking to ANGOP in light of the conference held to celebrate African Women' Day, marked for July 31, Rosa Pacavira said that there are already many women holding positions at parliaments and government.
"These women are responsible for many achievements which previously thought that only men were able of carrying out ", said the official adding that women responsibilities tend to increase year by year.
On the other hand, Rosa Pacavira congratulated African women for the date, having urged them to keep struggling and do not feel intimidated by ills such as domestic violence".
