South Africa: Petrol Price to Drop by 10c

Pretoria — Motorists will be given some relief when the price of petrol decreases next Wednesday.

The Department of Energy announced that the price of all grades of petrol will drop by 10 cents. The wholesale price of Diesel 0.05 percent Sulphur and Diesel 0.005 percent Sulphur will fall by 13 cents.

In Gauteng, a litre of petrol will cost R8.17, while at the coast it will cost R7.93.

The price of illuminating Paraffin (wholesale) will fall by 15 cents and that of Illuminating Paraffin will decrease by 20 cents.

"During the period under review the average international product prices of petrol, diesel and illuminating paraffin decreased," said the ministry on Friday.
