Eritrea: Newly Constructed Dam in Dekemhare Inaugurated

Adi-Tekeleizan — A dam constructed in Dekemhare, Adi-Tekeleizan sub-zone, at a cast of about 4.7 million Nakfa has been inaugurated. The dam with a capacity of holding 450,000 cubic meters of water is expected to put under cultivation 35 hectares of land lying beneath it, according to Eng. Tefahanes Eyob, in charge of the project, from Rodab Construction Company.

The Administrator of the sub-zone, Mr. Kafil Mussa, commended the active participation of the local inhabitants in the speedy construction of the dam.

Speaking on the occasion, the Administrator of Anseba region, Mr. Gergis Girmai, called on the beneficiaries to make good use of the newly constructed dam. Prizes were awarded to nationals who made impressive contribution for the success of the project.
