Eritrea: Summer Cultivation Activities in Gerset Being Stepped Up

Golij — Summer cultivation endeavors in Gerset, Golij sub-zone, are registering commendable outcome. In this regard, about 3,500 hectares have been put under cultivation, stated Mr. Yemane Kifle, head of technical service in the government garage and Gerset agricultural project.

He pointed out that such endeavors are being made as part of the major Gerset agricultural development project. About 2,000 hectares have so far been put under cultivation involving sorghum, sesame, taff and other seeds, and that tractors deployed in the project have provided service to the local inhabitants.
