Uganda: Busoga University Bans Mixed Hostels

Busoga University authorities have put a ban on mixed hostels and warned students who cohabit to stop or face dismissal. The University Dean of Students, Mr Grace Tusubira, said yesterday that the move is aimed at ensuring students' security.

"We want all students, especially international students, to stay in those hostels gazetted for male and female." The new hostel regulations shall come into effect at the beginning of the new semester which starts at the end of this month.
