South Africa: Motlanthe to Address Gas Indaba

Pretoria — Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe is to address an Oil and Gas Indaba in Bloemfontein next week as part of Women's Day celebrations, the Presidency said.

The Oil and Gas Indaba, which starts on Monday, coincides with Women's Day and aims to provide a platform for stakeholders in the oil and gas sector to deliberate on amongst other things the oil and gas upstream value chain, opportunities in the sector and licensing.

The Presidency said the Indaba was also aimed at sharing information with aspirant businessmen and women who want to take advantage of the opportunities that are available in the liquid fuels industry.

Minister of Energy Dipuo Peters will open the Indaba with a gala dinner to celebrate Women's Day.
