Nigeria: End of the Road for Suspected Kidnappers

Lagos — Joseph Adashi, Matthew and Moses, nationals of Republic of Benin, were members of a syndicate. Nemesis however caught up with them when they were arrested by the police for allegedly kidnapping Chieme Ngogajisi, a Nigerian based in Cotonou.

According to Ogun State Police Commissioner, Musa Daura, who paraded the suspects before newsmen at the command headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, the trio kidnapped the victim on Thursday, July 15, 2010. He disclosed that the victim was taken to one Rasaki Abodunrin, a herbalist at Ado-Odo for sale at a sum of N4million. Daura added that the herbalist however alerted the police over the plan to sell Ngogajisi and the suspects were swiftly arrested.
