Nigeria: Jonathan Salutes Muslims at Ramadan

Abuja — AS the Muslims month of Ramadan begins today President Goodluck Jonathan has urged Muslims to use the season of Ramadan for deep reflection and spiritual rejuvenation towards greater service to God and the nation.

In his message to Muslim faithfuls in the country and around the world to herald the month-long Ramadan fast, as contained in a statement issued by Presidential spokesman, Mr Ima Niboro, the President noted that fasting was a profound religious experience that brings people closer to God. He thus enjoined Muslims to use the season to re-evaluate their service to God and mankind.
