Kenya: Tea Firms Uncertain of Crash Cargo Fate

Anxiety over a possible disruption of supplies has gripped local tea exporters after a ship carrying a huge consignment was involved in an accident off the coast of Mumbai.

Inquiries by Business Daily revealed that several local tea exporting companies had consignments on board MSC Chitra which collided with another ship, Khalijia 3 off India's busiest port - Jawaharlal Nehru Port over at the weekend, leading to a spillage of part of its cargo.
