Uganda: Kwizera Elected Parallel Fufa Head

Kampala — Godfrey Kwizera, the Kabale Fufa delegate was yesterday unanimously elected head of a parallel Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) in an assembly called to reconstitute fufa in Wandegeya, a Kampala suburb.

The meeting which was attended by close to 100 people was disrupted by police. The Wandegeya Police chief, Tushimiye argued that the meeting was not authorized. The organisers had sought permission to hold the meeting at Nsambya but changed their mind to a hotel in Wandegeya.
