Brazzaville — The chief of general staff of the Angolan Armed Forces, general Francisco Furtado regarded Sunday in Brazzaville that relations between Angola and Republic of Congo are strengthened and excellent since the national liberation struggle.
Francisco Furtado, who was speaking to press, underlined the historical relations and the support given to Angolan people during the liberation struggle.
Speaking about the border control, the general said that the two countries are having regular meetings and are engaged to control the common border. "There is nothing to perturb this relation" he added.
The ambassador of Angola to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Emilio Guerra highlighted also the good relations between the two countries and noted that the Republic of Congo hosted Angolan military bases.
