Angola: President Highlights Congo Contribution to National Liberation

Luanda — The Angolan head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, stressed Sunday in Brazzaville, the important role played by the Republic of Congo during Angola's liberation struggle.

In a statement to the media after arriving at Brazzaville Maya Maya International airport, José Eduardo dos Santos, affirmed that The Republic of Congo is one of the countries that provided more support to Angola during the liberation war and accommodated MPLA main officials at that time.

José Eduardo dos Santos was in the Congolese capital city to attend the Republic of Congo 50th anniversary of independence.
