Luanda — The speaker of the National Assembly, António Paulo Kassoma, is already in Libreville, Gabon, to attend, on Tuesday (August 17), the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the independence of the Central African country.
Paulo Kassoma, representing Angolan head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, joins other statesmen of Senegal, of Central Africa Republic, Mali, of Sao Tome and Principe, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burkina Faso, Togo, Cameroon, Chad, Benin, Cape Verde, Zambia and Nigeria, invited by President Gabonese, Ali Bongo Ondimba.
France, the former colonial power of Gabon, will be represented by the chairperson of senator, Gerard Larcher, and his presence is being seen as an important to reinforce Franco-Gabonese cooperation.
At the international airport of Libreville, Paulo Kassoma was received by Gabonese Home Affairs minister, Jean François Ndongou.
