Kampala — When I saw on television the bombers confessing and narrating the two-week mission that left over 79 people dead, the first question that came to my mind was why anyone would do such a thing.
When it became clear that the perpetuators' motivation was couched in religious terms, I asked how religion could be related to such vicious acts. No one who truly cares about matters of faith can afford to ignore the dangers that lurk within religious extremism.
