Nigeria: Nationals in UK Seek Diaspora Participation in 2011 Polls

Lagos — A Nigerian Diaspora group, Association of Nigerian Councillors in the United Kingdom, has canvassed active involvement of Nigerians living abroad in next year's general election.

Secretary of the group, Mr. Adedamola Aminu, said the decision by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to exclude people outside the country from participating in next year's polls was capable of denying the teeming Nigerians of their right to choose their leader.
