Harper — Police in Harpy City, the capital of Maryland County, are investigating the breaking and stealing of solar panels that were erected before the Harper City Hall.

Police commander Vart Williams said intelligence gathered indicate that the stolen solar panels are in Harper in the hands of some guys not named.

He said the Police will remain tightlipped until all evidence towards the suspects can be proven.

He said it was bad for some individuals to make away with infrastructures that were built to help everyone in the peacekeeping process, noting that "the Police will continue to work security-wise to get those that are involved into the stealing of the solar panels which were providing security lights at the Harper City Hall compound."

The Police commander noted that any one caught for the acts "is a criminal" and will be arrested, charged by Police and forward to court for prosecution in keeping with the laws of Liberia.

Commander Williams told citizens in Harper to provide information that will help the Police to recover the missing items.

The Police in Harper maintained that suspected buyers and holders of said solar panels should make themselves available to the Police.

The Police said the investigation launched will seriously affect and publicly disgrace those involved as they will be handle by laws and their names and pictures will be publish in local dailies in Liberia.
