Concerns about the efficacy of available drugs for the treatment of malaria have caused the government of Nigeria to take critical actions at tackling its scourge.
Consequently, the government, through the National Malaria Control Programme (NMCP) of the Federal Ministry of Health, has established 14 sentinel sites across the country to monitor the efficacy of the drugs currently being used to treat malaria in the country.
