The attention of the Management of the National Social Security and Welfare Corporation (NASSCORP) has been drawn to a statement aired on a local media outlet wherein it was wrongly stated that the Corporation was carrying out a contractual engagement with former Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Lawrence Bropleh.
A press release issued last night said NASSCORP would like to clarify that upon his resignation from the government, Dr. Bropleh proposed his services to NASSCORP and he was offered a short-term consulting contract. However, immediately and upon his indictment by the Justice Ministry, the contract was suspended. NASSCORP has had no further professional contact or financial relations with DR. Bropleh since his indictment.
NASSCORP wishes to state that it is totally committed to the tenets of accountability and transparency of the Government and will engage in no activity that would undermine the good work of this Administration.
