An international group styled and known as Freedom House International based in the United States is due in Liberia very soon in order to undertake an assessment mission in the country with focus on the youths and women.

The US-based group's decision to visit Liberia was the direct result of series of consultative discussions held between the Liberian Coalition NGOs (LICONGO) through its National Coordinator Rev. Christopher Toe when the clergyman visited the USA on his master's degree program and the group.

According to Rev. Toe, the delegation which is scheduled in the country hopefully by September this year is expected to meet the LICONGO's executives, United Nations System, such as the UNDP, among others.

Rev. Toe explained further that Freedom House-USA has decided to place emphasis on the youths and women so as to sensitize and educate them as it regards their basic constitutional rights as far as electioneering politics and the responsibilities of political parties, civil society institutions is concerned.

The US based group believes that indeed youths and women needed to be well informed about their basic rights as it relates to the electoral process as the 2011 elections draw nearer.
