Angola: State Secretary for Industry Visits Canada

Luanda — The Angolan State Secretary for Industry, Kiala Gabriel, will start from 23 to 28 August an official visit to Canada, at the head of a delegation of entrepreneurs associated with the sector field, namely Cerangola and GIAZOP, as well as senior officials from his office.

Angop learnt that in Canada, the official will participate in a seminar promoted by Canadian Council on Africa (CCA), on "Business Opportunity in Angola", slated for 24 August, in Montreal.

During the event, Kiala Gabriel will seize the opportunity to brief on the latest developments in Angola, with stress to the political stability, confirmed by the last legislative elections, held in 2008.

The seminar will also serve to explain the local entrepreneurship that Angola has a solid and modern financial system and the inflation is declining.

The public finances are in order and present an excellent macroeconomic framework for the investment and growth, said the official, who quoted the last assessment carried out by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in May, 2010.
