Asmara — The association indicated that it can now supply 3,000 litres of milk daily, and 18 hectares of land have been allotted for cultivating green animal feed. In addition, a plant that manufactures animal feed has been installed in Mendefera town and has already commenced rendering service.
The head of animal resource in the Ministry of Agriculture branch office in the region, Dr. Okbazgi Kifle said that the association has registered encouraging outcome in the past three years, and is making relentless efforts to introduce modern equipments.
The head of Agriculture Ministry's branch office in Southern region, Mr. Bahta Tedros on his part stated that over 30 hectares of land have been put under cultivation for animal feed in Adi-Quala, Emni Haili, Mendefera and Debarwa.
The members of the association on their part lauded the support extended by the regional administration, and reiterated readiness to enhance efforts so as to boost milk production.
