Dar Es Salaam — ZAMBEZI Airlines has launched four weekly flights from Dar es Salaam to Lubumbashi in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The flights will be operated using the same aircraft with a stop-over in Lusaka. In addition, Zambezi has also launched one weekly flight from Dar es Salaam to Blantyre in Malawi again via Lusaka.

Zambezi Airlines will continue to offer direct flights from Dar es Salaam to Lusaka (Zambia) and flights to Harare (Zimbabwe), Johannesburg (South Africa) via Lusaka.

In all, the Airline offers flights to Lusaka, Lubumbashi, Blantyre, Harare and Johannesburg out of Dar es Salaam. The Airline's flights can be booked online on the company website, as well as through their offices in Dar es Salaam or through any travel agency.

Zambezi Airlines operates highly regarded Boeing 737- 500 on all routes out of Dar es Salaam. Zambezi Airlines offers low airfares of the travel market to Lusaka and Harare.

The low cost Airlines fares increases the trade ties between countries over increasing leisure or holiday traffic movement.

Several Zambian and Zimbabwean traders are visiting Dar es Salaam to source goods and Dar es Salaam has become a mini-hub for these traders reducing costs and travel time for them compared to travelling all the way to Dubai or Bangkok.

Now with the launch of these new routes, Zambezi Airlines is hoping to bring in a good number of traders every week from the DRC and Malawi.
